Fugitive Girls (1974)

March 20, 2014 by adamsunderground

A shy, gentle woman innocent of the crime for which she has been incarcerated finds herself entangled among a prison gang bent on inflicting mayhem on the outside world.

Despite the high marks it earns for quality and entertainment, Fugitive Girls falls short of an AU recommendation because it is an exploitation flick with softcore moments, where only the first two of its six simulated sex scenes has any heat. After that second one the others appear perfunctory, done for shock value–not erotic arousal. FG’s editing confuses the story’s night and day continuity a few times, an odd departure from its otherwise smooth storytelling, and most of the twilight/night scenes are too dark on film to see the action.
